  • I have no idea. Try it. My guess is no. USB is discoverable but most audio apps to to utilize that feature. Open the Audio/Midi setup within the Maschine software and turn on off what ever MIDI device you are using. If you are talking on the two MIDI ports on the Maschine. You can just turn them on and then use them as needed.

  • great vid!

    any recommendations for keyboards?

I have a M-Audio Keystudio 49. It is too springy in my opinion. Feels like a toy. I'd prefer something minimal don't really need anymore knobs and faders, just good solid action on a keyboard controller.

  • @christwagon1980

If you are looking for a midi keyboard with nice action and do not need faders. CME Z-Key is for you.

  • Cont. - C.) goto midi in/out prefs via NI Maschine software and turn on the input of connected midi keyboard. this is pretty simple, it should only take you a minute to setup and start rocking. Now any sample you have selected you can also play on the midi keyboard as well as on the Maschine hardware controller

  • @escobarstatus - you just select any connected midi devices via the midi in/out pref's from the software. In this case the midi keyboard here is connected via USB and show ups within any software that takes midi inputs. A.) plug in the Maschine B.) plug in midi keyboard C.) goto

  • 1:48 go ahead and pick that crashhh..? cymbal...? hi hat sound...? haha

    its none of the above

  • the only bad thing with the actual OS of the Maschine is that it can't sequence external Soundmodules via MIDI... But N.I. should fix this probably in their next update. I can't wait to hear the Maschine making love with my Proteus2500,MoPhatt,Procussion :P Product of the year!!!

  • Quick question, will the Maschine still recognize a keyboard if it goes from the USB on the keyboard to the MIDI out on the Maschine? I know it runs fine with MIDI to MIDI but just checking.

  • YOU MADE THE BEST VIDEO ABOUT WHY MASCHINE IS A COMPLIMENT TO THE KEYBOARD NOT A REPLACEMENT. THANKS. I LIKE THE WAY YOU CONTRAST THEM IN USEAGE.

  • hey bro, nice vid. do you know if i can hook up a usb keyboard to the maschine? i bought the microkorg in a bundle with maschine it doesnt have midi inputs, i havent been able to get it to work together. can you help me with that? id appreciatte it so much bro cheers!

  • I kind of feel like I am overly addicted to this feature. Is that so bad? Do you tend to use note-repeat a lot?

  • @bambamltd you got to go to the scenes to make a whole song or bars

  • @Judasz696 yo how is the axiom pro. I have the maschine and im thinking about getting the axiom pro next week

  • I have m-audio axiom pro 49 and tried to note repeat like u shoved on this video but it doesnt work. It works fine when triggering it with machines pads. I hold note repeat on maschine and hold key on axiom pro and only one sound...no repeat. Help?

  • @lyricsmything no shit... the 808 cowbell is the most recognizable drum machine sound ever
