  • I feel sorry for the next person voted as President, that's if their opposed to what Obama is doing. They are going to have a lot oh shit to clean up, cuz he is shitting all over this nation.

  • His logic is flawless....take from those who pay taxes and give to those who don't...You have to commend him, he managed to rouse the worthless unemployed layabouts to actually get up and vote.

  • @jarbon5 Agreed. 12 years of GWB is too much. Who knows what will happen after 16 years....

  • @srv2be88 No dude, pay attention. I'm using USPS as an example of when the government organization starts to fail, it's private sector counterpart (UPS/FedEx) gets a huge boost in business. Same would happen if the govt. got involved in healthcare. Of course it would suck...but private docs would get a boost.

And we could TOTALLY AFFORD a 3trillion dollar spending if we didn't have troops everywhere except home, and gave free money to every goddamn country in the world.

  • @LemonCrushMusic you use the postal service as an example when the USPS is no longer commercially provident and there are talks of closing it down. So you're saying we need to spend 3 trillion immediately and then countless more government dollars over the years sustaining a government program for the 50 million people without health insurance to improve efficiency in the private healthcare sector, isnt that the point of competition in the market place?

  • @LemonCrushMusic the end of his first term, he was a 2 term president at which point taxes were 28%. And you keep repeating the same thing about US citizen employers, that doesnt change the fact that its for the public sector.

  • @srv2be88 FACT: End of Reagan's first term, tax rate was 50%. It's funny you bring up efficiency. If anything, govt healthcare will boost private sector healthcare. See post office and UPS relationship. And no, I'm not wrong about the bill. Even RUSH LIMBAUGH admitted it was primary tax cuts of US citizen employers and middle class. It wasn't a "jobs bill" at all. It's a buzz phrase that sounds nice. Has nothing to do with the content of said bill. Why did republicans shoot down tax cuts?

  • @LemonCrushMusic Irrelevant, you said Reagan raised taxes which you have now admitted is not true. Second, your analogy to Costa rican healthcare is erroneous. Name one efficient governmental agency? lastly, you are mistaken on the jobs bill, it funds public sector jobs. Your rhetoric about employers of us citizens and middle class families means nothing, its still a jobs bill for the public sector, eg unions, which are the blight of the american economy.

  • @srv2be88 As for "social medicine" don't you think we should have better quality of healthcare than Costa Rica? I do. Let's not forget Bush Sr. conceptualized "social medicine" back when he was Ronnie's VP. There's no reason to demonize public funded healthcare. I'm sure you have no problem with paying for insurance against crime (cops), terrorism (military), or fires (fire dept).

FWIW, Obama's last "jobs bill" consisted of tax cuts for employers of US citizens and middle class families.

  • @srv2be88 And Bush's tax rate (which is still in effect) is 35%. Higher than Reagan's alleged 28%. Stimulus created construction jobs in my state. Helped fix runways at the airport where I work.

  • @LemonCrushMusic, If you had read what I wrote you would see that the top marginal rate was reduced to 28% by end of 2nd term. The word "lower" does not mean the same thing as "low". What O has done wrong, for starters, triple the deficit (the amount we are spending over GDP, this is not the same as the debt), social medicine, useless stimulus...

A nation to try to tax itself into prosperity is like a man standing in a bucket and trying to lift himself up by the handle."
