@specialnprecious First off, eggs aren't necessarily released at the same time. It happens in a very short window, within 24 hours. Secondly, sperm doesn't always get to the egg because if that was the case every woman would get pregnant every time she had unprotected sex if she wasn't already pregnant. So if the woman has sex with a man and his sperm only get to one egg and miss the other egg completely and then the woman has sex with another man and his sperm fertilize the second egg, you get
