most of that money she is talking about (the defense contracts) was not just money given to companies in order to operate, but for PURCHASES from private corporations. companies compete for CONTRACTS, not funds. when the government funds private and public groups for R&D through entities such as DARPA it is done with expectation of usage of the findings. there is a big difference between a contract and direct funding. she happily and twistedly lumped them all together.

I can't understand why anyone is standing up for this group "ACORN".... I've seen the video of ACORN peple telling a supposed pimp and prostitute, how they can get loans for property, eventhough they mention that they will be bringing in "girls" from "overseas".. Rachel, yor video is going on and on about "what everyone else is doing" but does nothing to clarify ACORN... You are a liberal hack, and everyone knows it..

All big government does is END efficiency and transparency. Private corporations are held to MUCH HIGHER standards than government- whether it be ACORN, Wal Mart or Blackwater Government needs to be cut down to size

Eh, I can't always agree with what Rachel Maddow has done over the years, but she actually does make a few good points here. Why aren't the problems with Blackwater, DynCorp, Northrop Grumman, Lockheed Martin, etc. being investigated, and yet, there is all this{mostly hypocritical} outrage over ACORN?
