Well actually Egglesplork is a bit of an idiot due to his naivety. If everybody in the developed world gave away all of their so called unecessary possessions then there would be quite a few developed countries in serious shit. Due to something called TRADE! because there are countries that export cars electronics etc but import food. So actually THEY would then starve. If I set up a country in antarctica where the population bred like rabbits could I complain of starvation?

you miss a MASSIVE point!

you need to work backwards from the "people starving" debacle. Yes its bad that they are starving, but WHY are they starving. The land on which those people live is unable to generate sufficient food to feed the CURRENT population and yet they are still having children. If you provide them with food their population continues to grow making the problem worse. Admittedly there are a few countries that need help to get them back on their feet after a disaster.
