@dirkdragonforge because record execs wanted a new sound to sell records so they did what they always do, they just pushed all the heavymetal artists off to the side. Those heavy metal artists that could adapt their sound to the 90's still had some air play, but a majroity of acts feel to the B side. They wer esilll popular but didnt get promoted.
