Tour de France A2 / RTE theme music 1985-1990

The theme music used by French television station Antenne 2 for the Tour de France from 1985 to 1990 (except 1987). The titles and music were also used on Irish television channel RTE during this period. Thanks to Caroline Martinnez for digging up the tune.

Anyone able to get hold of the "NewOrder" style music Channel 4 used to use? You might remember the titles - a close up of a riders chest with quick edits so his jersey changed colour ending with the polka dot one worn by the King of the Mountains.

It was written by Pete Shelley of the Buzzcocks but was never released as a track unfortunately.

If you click the yellow banner under the video screen though, you will be taken to a video of Channel 4's coverage from the 80s.

Hola a todos que sorpresa despues de mas de 20 años escuchar esta melodia se me hace un nudo en la garganta, no se imaginan todo lo que hice para poder volver a escuchar esta melodia sin encontrar respuesta , ahora me gustaria mucho saber quien compuso esa melodia y como se llama. gracias por sus comentarios.
