I was at Woodstock and this was te last song sung that Friday evening, the first day of the festival. Friday was the folk-music night. Joan was the last to perform that evening. We slept that night
outside, under the stars, unaware of the history that weekend in August was to make. It changed my life for the rest of my life.

I have been a hugh, hugh fan of Joan Baez since I was a girl of 16 years old.
(many years ago) & to do this day I still am in awe of her voice. Sometimes I cannot believe that someone can sing like this. Joan Baez has graced our world with her singing. I mean what if she had not chosen to become a folk singer or because of circumstances did not become well known..I am so glad that Joan became successful as a folk singer so that the world knows her voice. She is my favorite singer by far.

She honor a great song with her beautiful voice. i wish we have more Joan Baez in this world. Would be a better place. Thank you for this song.

Hated her politics but loved her voice and dedication to her beliefs. She can still sing today with the same meaning and intensity. (check some of her videos) Missed Woodstock as I was undergoing advanced training on a CH-46D helicopter before being shipped out to Vietnam. All the same we still listened to Joanie (Surreptitiously, as we didn't want to be labelled commies) in-country. 1 LT, USMC Marble Mountain Air Facility.

i was also at Woodstock... dug in about 40 feet from center stage for the whole time.. it was a total life-changing experience for me which i will never forget. None of any of us there had any clue about the historic landmark in music and culture this would become - nor did we realize the huge and ethereal resonance this would have on our lives.
i feel humbled by the memory so many years ago and honored to have been lucky enough to have been there.

High tone vice with tension, overflows for energy, being in aura, and very beautiful. Joan Baez is a great singer rare in history.

Tears in my eyes.
Where are our talented people that inspire us today?

@shadowfaxx1 That's exactly what I was pondering. Though we still have Bob Dylan, Bono and their contemporaries, I don't know who among from the younger generation has the IT like them.
