A tribute to Eric Lamaze & Hickstead, Olympic Gold medalists

Canada's first individual showjumping gold and a part of history forever.

This magnificent horse will never be forgotten. As a pair these two had some irreproducible.

Godspeed, Hickstead. 1996 - 2011.

  • A million words would not bring you back. I know because I've tried, and neither will a million tears. I know because I've cried. Rest In Paradise, Hickstead

  • Cool Action Ride!

  • i dont even know what to say. this is by far my absolutely favourite video and tribute to the best horse and rider in the world. Rest in Peace and Paradise Hickstead. no horse deserves to anymore than you do. i will always remember you as the greatest most unbelievable horse in the world. you were more than a champion. you were a hero <3

  • Ez igazán szép és megható, mivel gyönyörű tisztelgés Hickstead előtt. Ő kivételes volt, egy igazi csoda......

  • @EmiLuvsStanley I agree that this is a fabulous video. And frankly, I haven't bothered with many other videos because this one is superior to any others I have watched. But to be somewhat fair to the others, I think we should keep in mind that this video was created when Eric and Hickstead had just come off of their Olympic triumph. A much different and happier time to commemorate than Hickstead's tragic death.

  • I first found this video during the WEG in Kentucky in 2010. I loved it then and I love it now (I've have probably watched it 100 times). It's really well done and captures what is special about Eric and Hickstead's story. It might seem a bit odd to take comfort from a YouTube video, but upon learning of Hickstead's death, I went looking for this video and it really helps to see him in action at the top of his game. Great work. Just regret the circumstances that led me to seek it out again.
