Do you struggle to keep a conversation going with someone after you say hello? In this speech, Jason McGarva shares a simple secret that will make it easy for you to improve your ability to talk with people anywhere you go.

This is speech #4 in the C&L manual and was delivered at the Providence Toastmasters Club in Providence, RI.

  • A problem with all Toastmaster techniques is they assume speakers all operate out of an American cultural framework. The American habit of comfortably talking about yourself (without immodesty) at length to others does not transfer to many cultures.
