@DLSS Thanks for the nice words. Generally speaking, Olympus VN-7000PC recorder is not bad. You can set the Microphone Sensitivity HI to record sounds from all directions (HI in this case, because of the Karaoke tune), or LO which is suited for dictation. There are 3 recording qualities in WMA format: HQ, SP, LP (I use HQ here). Files are small. Great for dictations, but not built for more professional music recordings. The portable digital recorders for higher quality are at least €100 usually.
