After the ferocious and brave collared peccary challenged 2 jaguars. (The footage is in the Amazon. I didn't see the entire program--just caught this amazing fight scene.) The peccary ends up dying in the little river from exhaustion from its wounds caused by this attack.

Like a true Warrior She never Gave up I'm glad that She managed to give those Jaguars a Beating before going down

170-220 lbs. IS an average weight for an adult jaguar. 350 lbs jaguars are extremely record specimens, usually very old males. No jaguar exceeds 350 lbs in weight.

What a disappointing end of events. We never saw the pig getting killed. I would have paid to see the pig being eaten alive while squealing her guts out...

Shows that a mother protecting its young is still the most dangerous animal anything can came across. In the end she died, not on the jaguars terms, but on her own terms! Caught by the camera, her heroic efforts have turned her into a legend that will live for ever as a testimony to self sacrifice, courage, determination and above all love. A jaguar protecting its young would have done the same, for in the end, it has no choice!

@rotagen5 I agree with you it would be sad to see the jag hurt but to dismis the brave mother pecary is a Shame! All life is precious, the beauty of the jag does not make it any more deserving of life than the pig. In a contest, due to the rarity of the jag I would prefer it would win, the pecarys abound in the jungle, however this pecary fought against terrible odds to protect its babies, it show , love and bravery, its was a remarkable animal and that makes it very special and a great loss.

Not really, a sad ending would have been if a beautiful  jaguar got hurt, who gives a rats ass about a peccary, jags are endangered thanks to sick humans killing them.

Man, that pecary is awesome, and it is not an easy prey. this is the second time i have seen a brave and ferocious prey on the battle field. the first was an african Honey badger and this pecary the second. NO ANIMAL ON THIS PLANET CAN WITHSTAND ANY OF THESEs Animals (Pecary and Honey Badger) POUNDs/KGs FOR POUNDs/KGs. and Win!
