On Sept. 20, the U.S. Senate outrageously condemned MoveOn.org for daring to call into question the credibility of a General who was lying to Congress on behalf of Bush. Bush piled on with his own criticism. Help fight back here: http://pol.moveon.org/fightback/
His show is poorly done, hence the low ratings.

It's interesting you mention the ratings, since... I don't think we're supposed to CARE about the ratings.

His military position is to right the wrongs done by the Rumsfeld Defense Department in the past. Deaths and Incidents are way down in Iraq and have been steadily declining. Petraeus was right then and his words hold true today, there is visible military success in Iraq. Just because he comes back with some good news does not mean he is automatically not a credible source. Less troops and Iraqis are dying, that is good.

amaizing how Bush can openly announce that one has no right to say what the American people think and get away with it:)

President Bush is a corrupt whining a-hole of a human being with no clue what America truly stands for. President Bush is betraying the principles of America daily.

He used his military position, which is supposed to not be political, to deliver a political message. He said what the Bush administration has been saying in order to sell it to the public because they might believe it from a "neutral" or "credible" source.

How exactly did Petraeus sellout again? He stated that the security situation has improved (the numbers back him on this) but that the political situation has not. He also suggested that we could probably start withdrawing troops by the summer (isn't that good news?) but that some sort of military presence will be needed for a long time (a cold hard fact). What did you want to hear? that it's Apocalypse Now over there?

oh and to add, I am not spewing "right wing talking points". spare me the paranoia. It is fact his ratings are abysmal. his content is worse than his ratings. Weak sources, poor delivery and no formula for his show. It's like a left wing blog meets The Colbert Report, except he tries too hard to be funny but fails and comes across as just plain mean. Oreilly is boarish and egocentric, but has much better debates unlike Olberman who rants for 5 mins then puts on a guest who agrees with him.
