The "other countries" u speak of r nowhere as diverse as India, they could easily UNITE.

Trying to unite people of different religions, different ethnic groups, different tribes, etc is IMPOSSIBLE. If you can try and understand this maybe things might make a little bit of sense to u!

British mastered the art of divide and rule, they turned different tribes against each other, different religions against each other, etc.

Anyways this is all in the past!

There was some fighters, British did NOT have it easy.

And u still don't get it do u? It is impossible to UNITE over 1000 different cultures, even today the people of India are not united.

Also corruption is a bitch, people can be bought so easily, it is far easier to accept bribes and live a life of luxury then take the hard root and fight, misery, bloodshed, etc.

India fought Islamic invaders and British invaders for 1000 years, men of principle did fight.

  • my great grandad fought in ww2 against hitler and he was muslim yet we r stil caled terorists

  • guess it was ok for indians to die while defending the empire, but they were not good enough to warrant equal pay as white soldiers.

btw, the living standard enjoyed by modern britishers is in great part to the 250 year exploitation of colonies, particularly india.

indian famers would raise cotton which, for a pittance, they were forced to sell only to britsh mills, where it would be spun into cloth and then resold to the vast indian market.'this is but one example of many.

  • churchill was a despicable racist. british attitudes towards indian soldiers reminds me of americans in during 2nd world war - black ameircan soldiers returning from the war to the american south were still discriminated against - they were denied entry into eateries and bars where german POWs,who were made to work on farms in exchange for being allowed to roam freely, could enter and be served.

the first time i heard of how black soldiers were treated, i cried. today, i am crying again.

  • @Pyaar111 17 million died due to famines caused by the taking of all India's resources. Hope we never forget the 2.5 million that sacrificed their lives for both war efforts. How do you think UK sustained the war efforts to begin for both wars? With whose resources? All the rice, raw jute, cotton goods, manganese, saltpetre, rubber, millions of tons of wheat (what caused the 17 million deaths to begin with) were provided from India.

  • @FukkkDaRulezzz But yes, the different languages through out (just as Europe has different language every 100 sq miles)did not help in unifying. UK played a big role in that ultimately. India was though united in Hinduism with exception of Islamic genocides and slavery. UK was able to hire sepoys (poor civilians) as part of their army, this is how they were successful in India. While Uk was in India , 17 million died due to famines since UK exploited every last resource possible.

  • @FukkkDaRulezzz India was as united as Europe look up their history (in Search: war stats euro find necrometrics and select cached. look at middle east also, just one dictator after another, if US was not there or Nato these countries would be no different than Shiite &Sunni wars or Saddam murdering ethnic Kurds. The funny thing about India is that maps exist from 6th century BC showing a united India, various empires ruled by Ashoka the Great, Chola, Mayura empires ruled the whole land
