This fellow was in front of my house, so I got on my bike and transported it to the nearest pond. But first I determined its species, biologist as I am:-) Raw video, no editing/cutting. Its a male Alpine Newt (Ichthyosaura / Mesotriton / Triturus alpestris), because of the typical flashy red belly and a bulb at the cloaca. It's one of the few amphibians in Belgium, so I appreciated this encounter.

  • Kill it with fire!

  • @TheFingersHurt you mean with demineralized water so it explodes from within after an hour of bathing in it?
