    I do prefer British to American English or

    I prefer British to American

    from Indonesia

    I'm English so can answer you. Some you could use in both countries and people in both countries would know what you mean. There are some that used only in England or only in America and would seem strange in the other country. Realtor for example would never be used in the UK. Neither would Diaper. Film or movie

    could be used in both countries and people would know what you mean. We both watch each others movies and therefore know the differences
