This is one scary ass puppet. It was part of an exhibit, showing stuff from old-style, Japanese Bunraku puppet theatre.

Indeed it is the "jealous woman". I love how the puppet changes emotions. When it resembles a human being, you cant even see the lines that suggest the opening of the puppet.

@MikeSkullman I would even say it's hannya (which is an Oni/demon) since it's a woman who transform into a demon.
