they died from lettuce? UM sorry NO. Maybe if your feeding them NOT organic lettuce then yes it is possible. Parakeets can die from genetically modified food, just like people and everythign is genetically modified if it is NOT organic. Parakeets LOVE romaine lettuce. Iceburg has no nutrients, but romaine is FULL of it. I have breed the HEALTHIESTand STRONGEST parakeets I have ever seen.
