The Dr Badi ud din Mahmud Commemoration: Towards an equitable society for peaceful co-existence

The All Ceylon Union of Muslim League Youth Fronts (ACUMLYF) has organised a Commemoration Day ceremony in memory of the late senior Muslim Leader Kaithe Millath Al-Haj Dr. Badi-ud-din Mahmud, former Minister of Education who rendered great services to the motherland on June 17, 2009 at 4.00 pm at the Nagarodaya Centre, No. 155 A, Baseline Road, Borella.
Minister for Health Care & Nutrition Nimal Siripala de Silva will be the Chief Guest at this ceremony that will be presided over by ACUMLYFs National President Al-Haj Rasheed M. Imthiyaz, Attorney-at-law.
The Guest Speaker at this event, the Ven. Diviyagaha Yasassi Thero, Chief Sanga Nayake of Colombo Nawakorale and former Deputy Principal of Ananda College will deliver the keynote address under the topic Towards an Equitable Society for Peaceful Co-existence.
A scholarship will also be awarded at the ceremony in memory of this late leader. Ministers, Members of Parliaments and important Dignitaries will grace this ceremony that is organised under the theme We honour our Leaders who served the Motherland.
