@misscassafrass1 Not quite perfect? Where?
It's not like Patty wrote those hits *for* the Dixie Chicks - she wrote some beautiful songs and because the Dixie Chicks recognized their worth, chose to record them.

I myself love Natalie Maines but if she just had a little of Patty Griffins class one of the great bands The Dixie Chicks would still be relevant.Nothing to do with what she said about the president, she just doesn't seen to have the ability to shut up....

Hi- Don't know what tronno" " or needafix said but this is Exquisite TIGHT harmony. Often only achieved by siblings who know each other so well. Is VERY difficult to do . TRY it!
Watch Patty's face as she looks at Natalie with knowing appreciation/admiration and listen to the crowds response. Those with an ear for this style of music hear the perfection. Love to All.

@needafix14 -- you should try a remedial course in reading comprehension, trailrunners complaint was that Maines sounded off to a foreign audience not because she didn't agree with him. I guess you missed that.

love this.....no, it's not quite perfect but imho it just adds character. patty wrote 2 or 3 of the dixie chicks' big hits and they named an album after one of her songs......lol so nat can't be all bad.

Trailrunner78 as an American you have freedom of speech no matter where you are, it is a sad state of affairs that an American speaking their mind famous or not could be crucified by not only the citizens they share the rights with but corporate America tearing a successful career apart in retaliation shame on us all for letting it happen!

@modean52 agree with you. Might I suggest tronnotronno get ears checked.
@tronnotronno
I'm sorry, but simply put, you're incorrect. While Natalie Maines may (or may not) be "frequently out of tune", she is not on this performance. And if you watch and listen to her, she has the singer's sense to defer to the singer/songwriter when in her presence. Her vocals are delicate when necessary, strong when called for, and always responsive to Patty Griffin's. And never out of tune. It's a lovely, lovely rendition of a wonderful song.
