Balboa High School (SF) JROTC Boys Drill Team performing at the 1991 91st Division Competition at The Presidio, San Francisco where they took 1st Place.

From 1990 - 1992, Balboa's Boys Drill Team dominated the San Francisco JROTC competitions, taking 1st Place in both Liberty Bell and 91st Division for 2 consecutive years. This was the second of the 4-in-a-row win streak.

  • align the tips of the flags and tie with a rubberband....

  • We do stack with 4 or 6 now. Depends on the drill...

  • so how do the flags stack together? when we used rifles, each had a "c" clip for linking together...

  • That would be a very tight circle.

  • I think on one of the stacks you see here, a few were just leaning on the stack with no lock..

  • back then, they stacked only 3 rifles per stack... we started going 6 rifle stacks in 88.
