-
It's Al Sobrate!! He leave AFTER this performance! Watch... He play hi-hat left hand. Tre play right. Sorry for my bad english.
-
billie said in a n interview that john came down to this show last minute and stole the show away from tre. he said itsone of there biggest mistakes

oh do you have some video of Ne'er do wells? It would be fucking nice, man!
-
yeahh i seen him play in garage-rock band the Neer Do Wells several years later (in SF). crazy f'n technique. basically right/left ambidextous i believe. two 80's hit-band drummers in that style who just killed it and i loved their style: Kenny Aronoff (john cougar band) and Steven Sweet of, yes, WARRANT. nothing rocks harder than seeing a right-handed drummer/setup who switches to LH/high-hat and SLAMS the snare drum with a full-blast right hand from ear level. then swiches L/R on choruses
-
does anyone have a video of that moment?
-
yes that's the infamous gig with John/Al showed up and claimed the gig. Kiftmeyer was a great rock drummer but as older-guy it was "too many rock stars in one band." halfway through this set, there was fighting on the floor. GD stopped playing, and Kiftmeyer came out to front of the stage and got the crowd to chant "losers go home! losers go home!" it was awesomme. oh yeah and hahahaha this was the gig where green day blew headliner bad religion off the face of the earth in front of 800 fans
