On Monday, Oct. 5, President Beverly Daniel Tatum welcomed Ursula Burns, CEO of Xerox Corp., to Spelman College for a discussion titled, "CEO Conversation: Emerging Leaders as Global Change Agents." Sponsored by the Center for Leadership and Civic Engagement, the event featured a conversation between Burns, President Beverly Daniel Tatum, and Morehouse College President Robert M. Franklin. Burns encouraged students, faculty and staff to create their own personal brand, work together to create global change, and take time to develop their strongest skills set. She became chief executive officer of Xerox in July 2009 following two years as president of the corporation.
nice idea.

This was very enlightening and articulate. I want to be able to express myself with such ease and poise...instantly. Like Dr. Burns stated it will take time.

I totally agree with Ursula, young people are in such hurry to accomplish EVERYTHING before they turn 30! To get to Ursula's position takes time (in the form of many years). Sometimes it takes that long to perfect your craft! Ursula your are my inspiration, I wish you luck and great success in the many years to come. And thank you Spelman for broadcasting this event.

Amazing... I have never heard of Ms. Burns until today. Needless to say, I am thoroughly impressed by her practicality, intense yet ease of drive and welcoming approach. Ms. Burns, your take on Leadership will help to carry me through the rest of my days and if I have children, their days and their childrens days... Thank you, Spelman and Morehouse; Dr's Tatum and Franklin for making such a delightful conversation possible.
