Sharing the rationale behind our iconic hand sign, the single finger palm otherwise known as 一指定中原手 (Yi Zhi Ding Zhong Yuan Shou). There was a hidden code behind this gesture, in relation to the Qing regime.

Our lineage is Song Siu Bo, under the tutelage of Lam Sai Wing, a student of grand master Wong Fei Hung.

  • @ghcortes82 Hello and Thanks for your comments. The singer finger palm has many meanings, so it's hard to define it but it can be summarised as "Overthrow the Ching, restore the Ming". It was a Han Chinese rebel art intended for onslaught with the manchurians. I apologise for not making myself so clear in the 2 videos. I obviously had not organised my thoughts clearly before posting, so I will redo the video again this time with clearer more in depth explanation.

  • Fantastic. Your second video regarding the single finger palm is quite nice also. Thanks!

Out of curiosity, what is your Hung Ga lineage?
