http://ReefBuilders.com is the source for all your reef aquarium news. This resplendent angelfish is a species that comes from Adscension island in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean. However, this specimen was born and raised in the middle of the pacific ocean, about as far away from it's ancestral home as possible.

  • @ianglish no

  • Are captive bred Centropyge sp. angelfish 100% reef safe?

  • i remember when i first started in the hobby about 15 yrs ago the Resplendens was available regularly at my LFS and was sold for 50.00 dollars. Times have changed, Ascension Island has placed a ban on all marine fish export.

  • the island that they are from are very protected. There used to be a place in England that had captive raised resplendent angels but not anymore. Hopefully these guys will make them more available.

  • Why do these fish cost so much? I have seen them for $1500 and more

  • Very cool music

  • thanks!
