The Thing Walkthrough PC Hard - Mission 3B

We're off to go find a working radio. But wait, what's this? The radio is missing? Someone must have taken it.

I can only stress one thing in this area. Please try to keep Williams alive, he's a medic, which means he has unlimited medkits (90% sure on this). This battle is hard for new players, and there aren't that many medkits.


Oh yeah, another tip is using those grenades from Mission 3B up in Pace's tower. They work wonders here. Just wait for a big group of those little ones to go into the room, open the door, lob a grenade in and close it. Takes care of all of them at once.

Fun fact - Those little things I was shooting on the FLOOR in the room where I turned on power are Face Hugger pods. It should be your number one task whenever you enter a room with these to destroy them. As far I as I know, they spawn an unlimited amount of Face Huggers until they are destroyed.

Fun face #2 - Tentacles hurt, a lot.

Earlier on when i was fighting the 3 walkers, Pace turned int a thing and now i only have Williams. What should i do?

@JumpBannana I don't think Pace can turn in that mission. I'm pretty sure he's scripted to turn in the mission after this one. Anyways, if the game doesn't fail you, then you don't need him anymore. Pace is an engineer, and you really only need him to fix some powerboxes in the mission before this one. I just like to keep him alive for the extra firewpower.

@JumpBannana Are you sure you need an engineer to do it? There are some powerboxes you can do yourself. If you needed an engineer to fix a powerbox and the engineer died, then the game would end itself saying "YOUR ENGINEER HAS DIED." Either your game is glitched, you can fix the powerbox yourself, or the powerbox you need an engineer for isn't part of the main path.

also how can you tell if someone is infected like as in a team mate?

@LiruLover In the game, you really can't tell if someone's infected. Honestly, it's all scripted where the teammates turned. In the movie, blood tests were used to tell. In the game, although blood tests are present, they are absolutely worthless unless you want to make someone else trust you.
