@fraterla93y There are many more sources than just Josephus and Pliny try having a look at "Did Jesus Exist" it's in 4 parts, uploaded by Knowwheretorun1984. Theres plenty of information in there.
@superjam18 John says one of the soldiers pierced Jesus’ side with a spear, bringing a sudden flow of blood and water. John 19:34 - I understand that the flow of blood and water indicates that the heart was actually pierced.
Any naturalistic explanation is by default better than any supernatural one.
If you say that a supernatural event occured, then any supernatural event which explains what happened is equally valid, since supernatural things cannot be meausred or tested by our natural world. In other words, it's equally likely that Jesus was resurrected by the flying spaghetti monster because we cannot verify or falsify the existence of anything supernatural, whatsoever.
Pliny the Younger was born in 62 C.E. His letter about the Christians only shows that he got his information from Christian believers themselves. Regardless, his birth date puts him out of the range of eyewitness accounts.
Whee did he get these theories from? Whos saying these things?

@fraterla93y Because, not only were the reports of Jesus' death greatly exaggerated, so were the reports of his "massive following" ;)
Christianity was a fringe movement for a good 200 years.

A good book is "THE CASE FOR THE RESURRECTION OF JESUS," by Habermas and Licona.
