This show was typical crappola ITV fare. The only thing I can remember about it other than the crap robot thing was Irene Handl was in it. What was she doing associating herself with such bilge as this.

This was on the 'other side'. I was a snob and i only watched the BBC. I may have been right because this show was fucking awful. I was written by I think by the singer out of the Monkeys.

For its time in sedate British society and television, Metal Mickey must have been really something exciting for children. My own memories were vague as was only eight when I first watched/heard of it - As an adult, I have this on DVD and can't quite believe how funny it is! - May not be to the serious SCI-FI fan, but you can't compare it to 21st C TV and appropriate for the time it was made. I now have a high appreciation of this cute robot.
