I'm more concerned on why you have so much gear? It looks like your heading off to live in the woods.

Ahhhh, Pete, as I think back on this I'm reminded of the Lightfoot tune that goes: "And the legend lives on from the Chippewa on down, of the big lake they call Gitchagoomie".... Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald,,, I think :-)
BTW, this is not 2 canoes as some think BUT IS 3, with 2 windsurfers atop!!!

I wonder whether this weird windsurf is able to plane or not ;-)

This is easily the most bitchin' thing I have ever seen.

Thats awesome. What he said about losing air (wind?) Does it still paddle and steer well ? I imagine its a bitch to turn. Ive thought about doing this for years I just never had 2 canoes to strap together. Looks like great fun.

Steering isn't too bad. The guy at the back with the paddle can control it pretty well. The two guys manning the sails can also steer it by tipping the sails forwards (right turn) or back (left turn). The only risk is going too fast and swamping one of the canoes. Lots of bailing required with this craft :)

Hey Edmund,
Mike Green (filming) is the crazy designer of this craft. The design was originally 2 canoes connected with a couple of logs and a tarpaulin sail, but now is uses 2 pieces of lumber, rope, three canoes and a couple of windsurfers thrown on top. The whole rig goes together in minutes. the middle canoe carries 4 days worth of food, beer, ice and of course fireworks.
