At 10 pm Tuesday evening in Avonmore, an eastbound grain train with 108 grain loads, two AC4400CW for power and five SOO SD60s presumably headed to Cadrail in Montreal for refurbishment. This is probably the last time you'll see them in SOO Line paint. They'll emerge in CP colours and numbers (SOO 60xx to CP 62xx).

Thanks to DH.

  • @conrailforever1999 I have seen the rebuilds referred to as "SD60-2" but I'm not sure that's official.

  • So angry I missed this! I'm assuming its a 302?

  • @MikeDelic14 I believe it is a 302!

  • I ask myself this from watching this video... "Why did I go to bed SOO early???!" Great video Russ! You can really hear the cold joints in the rail being pounded!

  • @moon47mars That's TOO bad!

  • @GEES44DC Yes, I knew it. The grain deliver by train will be transfered by ship to Europe from the Ports of Montreal,Trois-Rivieres and Quebec City.
