I never knew that they warned everyone so much...and I apologize for criticizing them for not having a plan...apparently they did but no one listened. If someone tells me GTFO or your gonna die...um...I'd have been gone 2 seconds after they words left their mouth.

I evacuated at last min, about 10 hours before landfall, what takes normally 3 hour drive to South Miss, took 8.

Rock, with all due respect, you're in NYC. It's a different world, another culture, and NYC doesn't get hurricanes like this due to its location. Don't sit in judgement, especially as far away as you are. I currently live in Connecticut, and they're afraid of thunderstorms around here. If a hurricane hit, nobody would know what to do.
