It took me over two & a half hours to battle my way round the crazy M25 and the lunatic Roadworks around Shepherds Bush to "See Emily Play", but it was worth it. It was her first headline gig in this celebrated, intimate,London Venue, the first time she had her String Trio onstage, the first time she had her Australian Rhythm Section with the drummer from "The Waterboys", this was her first song of the evening and I am probably the first to post a video of Emily at the "Bush Hall"! (LOL) I was dog-tired, but managed to pan around the ensemble to give you a flavour of the venue, but I apologise for the fact that the fine set of Gretsch Drums was partially obscured by a huge vase of flowers that someone had put on the stage to celebrate Emily's many firsts! Guess who put the deep red roses, wax flowers and eucalypytus foliage (to remind her of Australia) up there? I hope you enjoy this fine song and observe that when Emily sings the line, "And pretty things to keep me sane" my little Sony Cyber-shot camera is trained on the exotic flowers. How was that for detailed planning or actually sheer coincidence?
I linked this video with "Blue Lips" because it was the first time I saw a String Section used with one of my favourite Singer/Songwriters LIVE. Like Regina, sweet Emily is still "STANDING" and also has a new album ready for release, so I very much look forward to hearing both of these lovely ladies' albums in the near future.

No more videos yet, but I have now found the most gorgeous still photos of Emily at the Bush Hall, on her website.

Thanks for the positivity about a video that I am proud of and a lady who deserves more attention. There were other photographers at this excellent gig, so I hope more videos are posted in due course.
