  • This is a wonderful reading. Much more detailed than the 1966 movie production. Cheers for posting!

  • Actually, I created it. I just read from the book, put some royalty free music to it and used Photostory to create it.

    Thanks for the compliment.

  • I'm looking for the origonal video in DVD or better yet right here on YouTube

  • Sorry. Can't help. I've never seen the original.

  • My kids are reading this in school & loved the video. The audio is wonderful, and the music is perfect.

  • Thanks for the kudos. This was my first at creating a digital story and publishing on youtube. My fourth grade students enjoyed it as well. Best, Eric

  • Nice work. I'd like to try this with my 6th grade class. How did you pan the the pages like that? Can you tell me the name of the music?

You have a good voice to listen too.

    Thanks,

    Rick Haley

  • I love this! I read this as a child and I am from Michigan so some of the places in the story are familiar to me. I want to show my granddaughter! I looked on Amazon.com and you can order the movie on DVD.

  • Thank you for posting this Mrebentley. I ve traveled to Lakes with my 17 ft Glass Kayak and have camped in the Apostle Islands, paddled around the Docks in Duluth. As well I have paddled at the Soo Locks. I just got back from the 1000 Islands and Rideau Waterway. The chapter in the book of paddled being kept for the Winter in Quebec and the woman telling the young boy. "The Indians named the River Canada, the French took the name and gave it to the Country, and named the River St. Lawrence."

  • Thanks! My son is a six-year-old homeschooler. Paddle to the Sea is part of his curriculum, and we couldn't ask for a better rendition.

  • Thank you for posting this! I was previewing the 3 part film and found your intro. It fills a need and is extremely well done.

  • I saw this movie in the early 1970's. This was my favorite Movie from My Childhood.

Thanks so much for sparking that light in the back of my mind. Very well read!!

  • I recently purchased the DVD. It is available now.

  • Apparently the DVD has just been released. Look for it on Amazon, or something similar!
