Three-Legged Red Fox Playing Peek-A-Boo with a German Shepherd Service Dog at Bear Country USA

On my quick vacation up to South Dakota, I really wanted to go to Bear Country. It was a great time - but not just for us. Baxter, my dad's German Shepherd service dog, had a LOT of fun playing peek-a-boo with the three-legged red fox.

Baxter is trained not to be disruptive or bark, so he just sat patiently, looking at the fox as it ran up and down the hill. The fox had the most beautiful gold and rose colored eyes I've ever seen on an animal.

OMG I went here! I saw these foxes!

when fox change their fur they get this grey/black looking fur which falls off later on

and then they get that beautiful red fur.

I thought so too at first, but I think it may be 'blowing coat' for the change of seasons... the other one looks a little patchy too.
