This HD video was filmed in February 2012 at the Taylor Guitar factory located in El Cajon, California, which is just northeast of San Diego. As of this posting, Taylor Guitars are the number one selling acoustic guitars in the United States, now ahead of the famous Martin brand. As a happy, long-time Taylor guitar owner and fan of the luthier, I always wanted to visit the place where these great guitars are made, so I finally made the pilgrimage.
Bob Taylor started the company in 1974 with business partner Kurt Listug. As of February 2012, Taylor Guitars produces more than 500 guitars a day with 650 employees. Even with its phenomenal growth and its use of hi-tech advancements in guitar making, Taylor has maintained its high standard of craftsmanship.
The music is by Doyle Dykes. Song title: "Nothings too Good."

I recently drove down from L.A. to take the Taylor Factory Tour and I absolutely loved it. It was a great experience and the people at Taylor were all very nice. If you're ever in the San Diego area I encourage you to take the tour.

Great! :)
I really wish there would be more videos like this. And then even back to like the '80s and in other factories.
I'm always curious how my own various guitars were made, which are from a couple of different brands. And it's definitely not all the same.
