This was even before her 1st abum... she was just 17 here! ... even her first album was recorded when she was not yet 18 ... it's unbelievable... what a disturbing maturity... her music and carreer will without a doubt be a companion all along my lifespan...

I think I would like Laura Marling a lot more if it weren't for the fact her youtube fans have horrendous behaviour towards any other kinds of music. I'm sure if Laura saw any of the crap you so-called 'fans' write about other musicians on her videos, she'd be too disappointed to call you fans at all. Music is music. Ignore what you don't like and praise what you do.

If there's something playing that I dislike or have grown bored of, I just turn it off. Of course there is music I dislike, but I also understand there are thousands who do enjoy it and respect their free choice on that matter; for example, I can't stand anything by Mozart (Beethoven and Bach deserve waaay more credit if you ask me) but I do acknowledge that not everyone else thinks the same. I strongly disagree with musical-dictatorship, whether its for/against Pop music OR Indie music.

i like most genres including rap.. just that certain gang banging violence provoking sort which i don't... or music which puts image and ego before the artistry of music... im actually very open minded when it comes to music but i do know what shite music is and i consider it not a opinion but a statement of honesty... surely you must agree there is vomit inducing music out there and that you don't just agree with everything for the sake of the respect of the art from???

I like rap and hip hop... just that certain type which I don't..! i also think that many variants of music is good, im just baffled why the shite music is leading the world whilst the true artists and performers are left in the wake of the superficial gimmicky over edited knob head karaoke monkeys..!

You have answered your own question. Freewill entitles you to decide your own personal opinions of bad and good, and every single person on the planet is entitled to that too. However, human beings are not Borg or Dalek, and we tend to differ from person to person...which I personally find to be incredibly good, even if it means I might encounter people I dislike occasionally. Opinion is both blessing and curse is that fashion.

What about Nellie Mckay's rap music? (look her up if you haven't heard of her) You are massively genre-stereotyping music here. The things you have a problem with in rap are all socio-cultural, not musical. You can argue music is a conduit for corruption, but you can argue that of all art-forms, from dance, to books, to film and painting. What you need acknowledge is that the term 'bad' is highly debatable in the first place, as history has proven over and over.

some music is bad though and corrupts many people giving them idealist, superficial and pretty god damn shallow outlooks on how society should be..! ie... rap music that's all about im this im that and what they gonna do and how bad they gonna fuck people up who diss em.. and the music that is sold for commercial purposes only, making everything about sex and how important it is to be in with the in crowd... by the way what are you wearing and why is it so cheap..?
