Rescue 911 - 100 Lives Saved - "Siblings Save Gram"

Two siblings use the heimlich maneuver after seeing it on Rescue 911 to save their choking great grandmother. Also included in this clip is a fan letter from a woman who did CPR on her husband after he had a heart attack in a swimming pool. This segment was taken from the Rescue 911 special "100 Lives Saved" (Episode 401) which aired September 15, 1992 on CBS.

once my mom saw a car accident outside of her office and she called 911 and was on hold for 10 minutes. she hung up and called back and was on hold for another 10 minutes. She ended up calling my uncle, who is a lieutenant at the sheriff's office, and he got a squad car and an ambulance. 911 called back 30 minutes later, and my mom told them like it was. lol.

nowadays it's like that. You dial 911 and your on hold for who knows how long. Today they tell you to keep waiting til they answer. But if it were me and it were life-threateningly important, I would have hung up and dialed directory assistance.

I chocked on a hard shell taco be4 when I was 10. I poured my whole glass of milk down onto my face, in the floor, and in my mouth. It rlly sucked and hurt like _____. So I know how she felt :( I feel srry for her

The father was an EMT or something, y is it that he never trained his kids in CPR and other first aid procedures. hes not setting a good example.

Actually, it was when 911 couldn't save Captain Kirk's(I forgot his real name) wife as to why it was canceled.
