My Interview with Jay Maynard, The Tron Guy

I had seen Tron Guy online a few years back but hadn't given him much thought until I recently happened to see the trailer for Tron Legacy on YouTube. I'd seen him on Jimmy Kimmel Live and several Internet videos and he seemed to be a happy little fella, so I thought, what the heck, let's see if I can locate this guy, call him up and just talk to him. Sure enough, that's what happened.

Now, I know little to nothing at all about the film Tron or the world of Tron, so I wasn't sure exactly what to ask him. I just came up with a few questions off the top of my head and gave it a shot.

He's an interesting character, to say the least, but he seems to have fun with it, and I applaud that. Hey, at least the guy's being himself. Well, the Tron version of himself. that is.

*sidenote: I happened to be in a museum where I overheard David mention that a video game looked like the Tron game. Serendipity at its best. I asked him to participate in the interview just before I called Jay. Thankfully he agreed.

Dear Tron Guy.

i had a very vivid dream about you the other night. You were in my bedroom trying to get to know me and i screamed for help. Then after i was done freaking out on you, i saw you later, only to find you sobbing on my stairs. You said you only wanted a friend.

I swear across my heart this was a real dream. I woke up feeling really bad, and i was like, why would i dream about tron guy? So, anyway, Mr. Tron, i just thought i should let you know. Wierd.

@iceman1121988 Dammit I want to know about his dating life.. the guy seems so nice and easygoing I want him to find a girl and live happily ever after! I was kinda hoping that mean spirited dating thing on the Kimmel show would lead to something.

Oh well, at least his dream of owning a plane finally happened.

the guy interviewing sounds kind of like a dick, I'd like to hear somone interview "Tron Guy" without asking him about his dating life or asking him questions as if he actually went into the Tron world....besides that I guess it was a good interview
