"If the American people ever allow private banks [like the Federal Reserve] to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around them will deprive the people of all property until their children wakeup homeless on the continent that their fathers conquered. The issuing power should be taken from the banks and restored to the people, to whom it properly belongs."
- Thomas Jefferson

Obviously two people felt intelligent enough to post a negative rating on my comment, but not quite intelligent enough to post a reply. Come on . . . tell me where I'm wrong. If you convince me I will admit I'm wrong. There are some tenets held by the Tea Party that I agree with, but not many. I actually heard someone once say, "I don't understand the Tea Party, but I do agree with them". Perhaps the two who posted these ratings are of that mindset.

To the person who posted this video.. You seem to be a self-proclaimed expert in politics and the economy. First of all, the Federal Reserve is not a private bank. And secondly, by currency I assume you mean money supply. I won't pretend to be knowledgeable enough to argue this point with you. But I will say that REAL economists rarely agree when it comes to factors affecting money supply. As far as the tea party is concerned, it's easy to be against everything, and for nothing.
