  • UGH look at his right foot at impact. That is one ugly swing but hey it works for him!

  • The most important part for me is that his right foot never leaves the ground until well after impact.

  • He has this swing cause of a back injury. His fundamentals are sound just happen in a weird sequence. All arms and shoulders small back turn at the end. Scuderia your a fruit loop so is DCUPtoejuice

  • gross!

  • If painful to watch does it not make you question what it is you are instructing? If very good strikers like Perry, Jimmy Bruen, Jim Thorpe, Calvin Peete, Peter Senior etc. can't be explained, then clearly most teachers are wasting time on teaching positions and movements which have little to no bearing on how a golf ball is struck. Clearly for one, on plane, pretty backswings have zero to do with ball striking. If you truly can't explain these swings, you can't explain why any swing works.

  • Is that a SuperTri or SuperDeep driver? The shaft is definitely a Mitsubishi Rayon Fubuki.

  • @CPGAgolfpro

Just goes to show you.....doesn't have to be pretty....just has to be effective and it has to repeat itself over and over....after all, Jim Thorpe and Jim Furyk both won a lot of golf tournaments with swings that are literally painful to watch from an instructor's point of view.

  • a true right-sided, (almost all) right-arm swing. check him at impact- hips in sync with torso, only slightly open to the target. no real sign of the left side leading. perry has been able to stay almost as long as he was during his 30's, which is pretty darn LONG. the right-sided swing is a whole lot easier to time correctly. now if he only had a true single axis grip...

  • He comes up out of his stance and changes his spine angle. It really amazes me that he is such a good ball striker with this much movement. His balance is fine. He must have some amazing muscle memory though to be able to perform this swing consistently.

  • @Scud3riaF3rrari I concurr with helenathena; you are an idiot. He stays on his feet throughout the golf swing; Kenny Perry has oustanding balance and he is very accurate.
