This isn't exactly a cover -- it is just a study that I've worked up over the years that contains phrases from the original Kottke thing, some of my own ideas, as well as an homage to Pat Donohue. I was thinking about playing this tomorrow at a local venue if I feel up to it, so I did this recording using a Martin baby guitar (LX-1) I keep around for fun in order to get a little instantaneous feedback as to whether or not it needs more work. Turns out that it does, although it is admittedly harder to do this on the smaller diameter neck on the LX-1. But what the heck: I just wanted to see what it sounded like, and now I know. Good enough to share, at least.
