This signature room features neoclassical lines from the French perspective. Louis XVI's furniture style is a total juxtaposition from Louis XV's, with exaggerated curves and c-scrolls returning to straight lines, often reeded, as in the English Regency period. Other notable differences include the use of lighter and more feminine colors - pale blues and creams - while remaining ornate with much gilding. This large room features hand-painted leaf and ribbon designs copied from a chateau in Normandy, and stunning crystal chandeliers. The king-sized bed features a hand-painted gold-leafed finish and is wrapped in voluminous aqua brocade draperies. The window décor includes hand-painted cornice treatments in the sitting area, which overlooks the ocean and mansion's lawns. A large walkout deck provides an outdoor lounging area. The vanilla-colored marbled bath boasts a double Jacuzzi, large shower with multiple showerheads and body jets, pedestal sink and crystal chandelier. The room features four crystal chandeliers and a small antique writing desk dating from the 19th century. Use of Egyptian motifs like the sphinx and other animals, as well as chinoiserie, japanned furniture and bronzed or gilded appliqués, is reflected in the rooms elaborate décor.
