Taiwan undertakes the last stage of its four-day long military exercises which includes amphibian tank attacks, parachute landings and jet formations.
The series of live military exercises are designed to thwart an attack from China, amid concerns that some of the military's aircraft and vehicles were too old and poorly maintained.
During the exercise an assault amphibian vehicle got stuck on the shore for approximately fifteen minutes until soldiers hurried to the site for repairs.
The military drills included training to demonstrate how the island's forces could repel an amphibious assault and manoeuvres to counter an airborne attack.
Despite glitches in parts of the military exercises, military officials expressed their satisfaction in the series of live demonstrations.

@BuBzIeNYNY Communist countries are autocratic and full of corruption. China is not just PRC. But, ROC is also China. PRC occupied most of ROC territories except Taiwan in 1949.There are actually "two China" in the world now. But, PRC asks all other countries to recognize PRC as the only China, otherwise the other countries can not be a friend with PRC. PRC is much bigger, which offers big markets. So, almost all except 23 countries in world make friends with PRC, and turn their backs to ROC.

@BuBzIeNYNY But, you can see the east Germany was united by the West Germany. Russia Soviet collapsed. And the North Korea will be united by South Korea in the future. So will PRC collapses, and ROC in Taiwan will have to unite whole China and restore Chinese democracy again.

@BuBzIeNYNY Please visit Taiwan, and you will be able to realize ROC history. Because of the autocratic communist called PRC, many countries including US compromise with PRC, People Republic of China(1949~2011) and ignore the existence of ROC, Republic of China(1911~2011). The communist China is more powerful than the North communist Korea. The most countries of the world agree with "one China policy", and pretend that ROC is not existed because of the benefits PRC can give. Shame on the world.
