Says Olbermann in his "Worst Persons" segment on the day Dobbs resigns from his CNN show: "How dare you deny me that impression" and "I hear he's going to Telemundo!"

  • What a complete idiot. That had to be one of the stupidest and most distasteful segments of news I've ever seen.

    Olbermann should be hung!

  • Olbermann is part of the problem.

He is a douchebag and not a source of actual news.

  • @yovtobe

Bullshit. Opposing illegal immigration isn't an "extreme right-wing" issue no matter how much the far-left tries to make it. Look at some actual polls. Lou Dobbs opposed the Republican Party on a number of issues, most notably the war. He is an independent in every sense of the word.

  • Olbermann??? Olbermann??

    Who is Kieth Olbermann??

    Never heard of him.

  • Dobbs used his "independent" credentials to bring on extreme right race baiters and other loony causes onto CNN... Somehow its acceptable to shut out left of center view and bring this dobbs character on and call yourself balanced. and the right calls CNN LIBERAL don't they??

  • @wbtaylor1 Actually, a balanced economy is what is needed. Not too much socialism, not too much regulation, but not too little either.

What is happening in America? The plutocrats, the ultrarich, are gaining more and more power. They are taking the place of a junta or a cabal. The American ecnoomy is completely unbalanced. And because it is unbalanced, money is being taken out of the hands of the people, debt is increasing for all but the wealthy, who are sucking trillions out of the economy

  • @dangerouslytalented In both cases you have described the demise of the government because of dictatorial ruled society. The lust for power by the leaders of a repressive government has always failed.

    Socialism is a repressive government.

"Government is not a solution to our problem, government is the problem." -- Ronald Reagan

  • @wbtaylor1 Rome did not have a socialist agenda. Rome fell due to corruption and degradation of the infrastructure. And the Soviets fell largely due to a kleptocracy, massive corruption, along with a lack of commercial competition within their own borders, combined with an unwinnable war in Afghanistan, massive military expenditure, and growing resentment amongst an ungovernable international empire (the iron curtain countries).

  • @dangerouslytalented I feel like I'm talking with a 10 year old. The fall of the Soviet Union and Rome was because of a socialist agenda. Your logic is flawed.

  • @wbtaylor1 Well, if America do not want to be like the rest of the world, then America will fall like the Soviet Union or the Roman Empire.

  • @dangerouslytalented You see you fail to grasp the main point as you compare the US to other nations. WE DON'T WANT TO BE LIKE THEM. That is the point. Socialism has not worked there and it won't work here.
