Want to use multiple hardware control surfaces at the same time in Propellerhead Reason?

In this video, I'm using multiple USB/MIDI hardware controllers (Akai MPD32 and M-Audio Oxygen25) at the same time. I show how you can setup and use each control surface to trigger a specific device within Propellerhead Reason.

  • @NorthCockItBack07 - I hear ya! You're right, it ain't broke so I'll leave it alone for now.

  • @TaurusBeats hey its working for ya...if it aint broke dont fix it....thats what i say

  • @3for10Productions - Great! Glad you were able to fix it. Let me know if you have anymore questions.

  • @NorthCockItBack07 - I have FL too, but I've been using Reason since it came out. You're right, everyone has a preference. I want to use FL more, but I'm kinda stuck in the Reason way of doing things for now.

  • @TaurusBeats fl 10...i've been using it for years since version 3 but i have worked wit reason b4...its a good program and everybody has their preference u know

  • @TaurusBeats Thanks, I got it. It was a super simple fix- I had to change the octave on the controller for it to pick up. I'm still getting the hang of all of it... I think lol.

  • @3for10Productions - Glad you like the video. Yes, you can use the Oxygen 8 to control the Redrum in Reason. With your Oxygen 8 plugged in, select the Redrum you want to control and just start pressing keys. You may have to adjust/transpose the key range to get the keys to trigger the samples, but it's really simple. Let me know if this helps.

  • @NorthCockItBack07 - Thanks, I appreciate your comments. You're a looper? What do you use?

  • Great video! Is there a way I can use my Oxygen 8 to control Redrum in Reason 4? If so, how would I map it? I'm new to beat making; your vids are really helpful. Thanks!!

  • that was one of the best tutorials i've ever seen...clear and concise direction...to bad i'm a looper ...i dont use reason but still awesome vid
