Woman: I Warned About Travis the Chimp in '96

A former Connecticut resident says a chimpanzee's brutal attack on a woman Monday wasn't the animal's first time lashing out. Leslie Mostel Paul tells AP the chimp grabbed her hand and bit it hard enough to draw blood 13 years ago. (Feb. 19)

What really ticks me off is that even after this attack happened, she says she would do it again (have the animal) if she could.... She can't even admit that she's an idiot for wanting to keep the animal in hindsight. I don't see how it's remotely legal to OWN a chimp after that shit happened. Why couldn't the bitch go live with apes if she loved them so much and not enganger the citizens around her?

@Dear1Stupit1Dog I feel a tiny bit of sympathy for her, simply because I don't feel that she was mentally well at ALL. She developed a really unhealthy attachment to the animal after the deaths of her son and husband, and I think she really needed psychiatric help.

regardless of whether the woman was wrong for keeping a chimp or whatever i find it physically sickening that this chick is soaking up her fifteen of fame to say, "see?! i told 'em! I told 'em!! they wouldnt listen but look at them now!" I can absolutely see this dumb lady shoving her hand towards an unfamiliar animal!

Chimpanzes are notoriously vicious animals, ask anybody who has experience with them. They even kill & cannibalise their own kind. Only a lunatic would keep one as a pet.
