Mary Kate acts like she's retarded when she is being interviewed, and she did so good in the movie, its weird.

@MakenzieSweet it is an acting thing.... they are on the set and its really hard to slip in and out of accents, so it was just probably easyer to do the interviews with the american accent

A lot of actors continue to use their unnatural accents while they're still filming. It would be easy to backtrack in your progress if you stop using it and use your natural accent. Plus, it's good practice.
