A simple potato cell may be created by inserting zinc and copper electrodes into it. The resulting cell typically produces a voltage of between 0.5 and 0.9V when a curent of a few micro amps is drawn from it. The video shows how the potential difference across the potato changes as the current through it is varied (by altering the resistance of a load). Measurements may be taken allowing the EMF and Internal Resistance of the cell to be calculated.
can you speak please? why do you torture the innocent potato?
