Whale research on board Oceans Dream

We volunteered 'sea-time' to the Ofu Tafua and Whales Alive research team based here on Niue. Their work focuses on identifying the Oceana humpback whale community who come here to calve and can be identified by the patterns on their tails (flukes) and tracked down by their singing. We were successful finding a courting couple along with recording a juvenile male practising this year's tune. The pictures and music in the footage were taken on the day.
