It's not the same Yorktown. The Yorktown in Charleston is an Essex class carrier commissioned to replace CV-5 the USS Yorktown that was sunk by Japanese at Midway. The USS Hornet was sunk in the battles off the Solomon Islands, The USS Enterprise survived the war and sadly, despite efforts to save her as a memorial..was scrapped in 1960.,.a monumental sacrilege as far as I'm concerned!

I remember them using stock footage from the attack on Pearl Harbor when the B-17 with only one wheel landed.

and I belive this is the only movie ive seen where they actually had extra scenes for the TV version...weird.

Yes, the Japs committed many murders. It is why the U.S. dropped two atomic bombs on Japan and help provoke the Tsunami and earthquake in 2010 by way of H.A.A.R.P.

Japan is still paying dues for the attack on Pearl Harbor. The Japanese behavior was NOT worth it, especially against the United States of America.

@terentii The Battle of Thermoplae was won on luck, some trator told them of a way around the Greeks, the Battle of Britain, some German Bombers got lost and in order too have fuel too get home had too drop their bombs, too bad London was under them starting a chain of events. Midway, they had broken part of the code and later in the battle a Japanese spotter plane's radio broke down just as they found the main US fleet. The US by that time was better but still learning all over again.
